Messages and fixes

| 'Choose the product to make.' | The order has no product. | Pick a stocked product. |
| '<code> is not a stocked product - it cannot be made.' | The product is a service. | Choose a goods product. |
| '<BOM> has no active version for 10 on 2026-10-02.' | No BOM version is live for that quantity and date. | Approve and activate a version, or check its dates and quantity range. |
| 'That BOM makes another product.' | The chosen BOM belongs to another product. | Clear the BOM so the system picks one. |
| 'The order has no BOM, no route and no components - add a BOM or a route for the product, or the components.' | Plan has nothing to plan. | Create the BOM or route, or use Add Material. |
| 'The order is released: its product, BOM, route and quantity are fixed. Short-close it or make a new order.' | You changed a frozen field. | Short-close, or create a new order. |
| 'Someone else changed this record. Reload it and try again.' | Another user saved first. | Reload and re-enter your change. |
| 'Components are short. Buy or transfer them, use a substitute, or release with the partial-start policy.' | Not enough free stock to release. | Raise a purchase request, use a substitute, or switch on Allow release with short components. |

| 'Enter the good or the rejected quantity.' | Both quantities are zero. | Enter at least one. |
| 'Backflush is short - nothing was posted.' | A backflush component lacks stock and all-or-nothing is on. | Receive stock, or switch off Backflush all or nothing. |
| 'Cutting (WO-...) has to finish first.' | The operation depends on an unfinished one. | Complete the earlier operation. |
| 'Record the quality checks of this operation first: <check name>' | A blocking check is open. | Record its result. |
| 'The person who drew up a BOM version does not approve it - ask another engineer (segregation of duties).' | You are approving your own work. | Ask another engineer with approve permission. |
| 'This BOM already has a draft version - finish that one first.' | Only one draft is allowed. | Approve or delete the current draft. |
| 'The inspector who failed the check does not approve its deviation.' | Same person tried to approve. | A different quality approver decides. |
| 'The person who recorded the scrap does not approve it.' | Same person tried to approve scrap. | Another approver decides. |
| 'A scrap record is waiting for approval.' | Close is blocked. | Approve or reject the scrap. |
| '1 non-conformance report(s) are still open on this order.' | Close is blocked. | Close the NCR. |
| 'Record the root cause and the corrective action before closing.' | NCR closed without both. | Fill them in, then Close. |
| 'Material has been issued to this order. Return it to the warehouse before cancelling.' | Cancel with issued stock. | Return the material first. |
| 'Goods have been produced; short-close the order instead.' | Cancel with output. | Use Short-close. |
| 'Components are still at the vendor - return them first.' | Closing a subcontract order too early. | Use Return unused, then Close. |
| 'MRP and planned orders is disabled for this company.' | The feature switch is off. | Ask an administrator to switch it on. |
